Early Life, Education & Early Career:

MacKay was born in London, the child of Kim Baker, an ensemble creator and Paul MacKay, an Australian who works in lighting/organize the executives.

In 2002, MacKay was spotted while at The Harrodian School by an acting scout, who inquired as to whether he might want to try out for a job in P.J. Hogan’s 2003 film adjustment of Peter Pan. He went to a workshop, and won the role of one of the Lost Boys, Curly, in what was his enormous break.
