There is no doubt that Salman Khan and Aamir Khan‘s bond is one of the most talked about in the movie industry. There was a blossoming of their friendship during the shoot of Andaz Apna Apna. Even though many people would know about this cult classic and would have loved the duo’s fun banter and chemistry on-screen, what some might not know is that the two of them parted ways after the film.
The actor has revealed in the past that he wants to stay away from Salman and that he and Salman do not see each other after they worked on the film together. Salman was there for the Dhoom 3 star when he was going through a rough time in his life, and that changed everything for him.
During the screening of Andaz Apna Apna, the Perfectionist of Bollywood spoke about his experience sharing screen space with Salman Khan. He said that after working together for a short period of time, he and his colleague just parted ways. He wanted to stay away from him as much as possible.
When Aamir appeared on Koffee With Karan back in 2013, he shared that he had a very negative experience working with Salman, during the production of Andaz Apna Apna. There was a time when I didn’t like him. In my opinion, he was rude and inconsiderate towards me. The experience of working with him was so bad that I just wanted to stay away from him after tasting the taste of his work.
In spite of this, things changed between them at some point. During Aamir’s divorce from Reena Dutta, Salman stepped into his life for the first time. When Aamir was at his lowest point in his life, he came to check on him and was there to give him comfort when he needed it most.
I was at my lowest point in my life when Salman walked into my life. There had been a divorce between me and my wife [Reena]. In the end, we bumped into each other later on, and he expressed his desire to meet me when we ran into each other again. In the end, we met again and drank together and got to know each other better. A genuine friendship began between them and it has only grown from there,” Aamir said on the show.
